Loading wheelchairs

It was a busy morning but we have now sent more than 60 wheelchairs, as well as other rehabilitation equipment on the first leg of their journey to useful new lives with folks who badly need them.

At 7:45 a.m. I met Junior and Carol, who had driven the Hope Haven International Ministries truck from the Midwest to Missoula. They followed me to Norco Medical, where we loaded about 25 items that had been donated and stored there (thank you, Norco!) Then we proceeded across town to our house where we emptied our garage and deck of the wheelchairs stored there. By the time we finished the truck was 2/3 full and our garage was empty of wheelchairs for the first time in more than a year! In coming weeks I hope to find donated storage space for the used equipment we collect, before the next batch starts rolling in.

Thanks to everyone who helped, especially Annette and Dee from Norco!
